Juan Valls

Executive Vice President, Performance Polymers & Fluids

Juan Valls is Executive Vice President of Illinois Tool Works, Inc., (ITW), a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables. With $15.9 billion in revenues, ITW is a multinational manufacturer of a diversified range of value-adding and short lead-time industrial products and equipment. The Company consists of 840 business units in 60 countries and employs some 60,000 people.

Mr. Valls joined ITW in 1989 as Business Manager of ITW Nexus Europe. Since then, he has held numerous European automotive management positions at ITW. In 2002, he became Vice President and General Manager of ITW Delfast International Automotive Fasteners. In 2007, Mr. Valls was named Executive Vice President of the Global Automotive businesses. In 2010, he was appointed Executive Vice President responsible for the Performance Polymers & Fluids businesses. Mr. Valls is the first ITW Executive Vice President based outside of the United States.

Mr. Valls received his degree in Business Administration from ESADE in Barcelona.
