Craig A. Hindman is Executive Vice President of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), a Fortune 200 diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables. With $15.9 billion in revenues, ITW is a multinational manufacturer of a diversified range of value-adding and short lead-time industrial products and equipment. The Company consists of 840 business units in 60 countries and employs some 60,000 people.
Mr. Hindman joined ITW in 1976 as a sales trainee with the Buildex Division. After a succession of sales, sales management and marketing management positions he was promoted to General Manager of the Buildex Division in 1993. Mr. Hindman then moved to the Paslode Division of ITW where he was named Vice President and General Manager in 1997. After the acquisition of the Duo-Fast business by ITW in 1999, Mr. Hindman transferred to Duo-Fast to become Vice President and General Manager. In 2002, Mr. Hindman was promoted to President of the ITW Finishing Group of Companies which included responsibility for such business units as FibreGlass-Evercoat, Binks, DeVilbiss, and Ransburg. Mr. Hindman was named Executive Vice President in 2005 for ITW�s Decorative Surfaces Group which includes global brands such as Wilsonart, Resopal, Polyrey and Arborite. The Decorative Surfaces companies manufacture and sell decorative surfacing products for the residential and commercial construction markets. The primary products include: high pressure laminates, solid surface materials, kitchen worktops, sinks and vanity bowls. In 2011 Mr. Hindman will assume responsibility as the Executive Vice President for the Industrial Packaging Group, including the Signode, Protective and Stretch packaging business units.
Mr. Hindman graduated from Colgate University, Hamilton, NY in 1976 with a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts. In 1987, he received a Masters of Management degree from The Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University.
Mr. Hindman is a past board member of Orchard Village, a Chicago area agency dedicated to helping people with developmental disabilities. Mr. Hindman is also a past board member of Junior Achievement of Lake County.
