Paslode Cordless helps start the school year off right
ITW Paslode Cordless, a global construction tools manufacturer based in the U.S. city of Lake Forest, Illinois, arranged for 24 volunteers to spend a morning during the summer of 2012 at Daniel Webster Middle School. Webster is a public school in the neighboring community of Waukegan, IL. Working in conjunction with the Lake County United Way organization, the Paslode volunteers pulled weeds, planted flowers, spread mulch and performed other tasks to improve landscaping prior to the start of the school year. Public schools have limited funds for grounds work, and the effort helps give students and teachers a school to be proud of.
Over 95 hours of hard work were expended at the school. The project is just one of a series of Days of Caring volunteer efforts that the Paslode Cordless team participates in throughout the year. ITW employee volunteerism supports the local United Way’s mission to improve the lives of Lake County residents.
