Employee Resource Groups Give Back

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) play a critical role in engaging colleagues at all levels across our global divisions.

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) play a critical role in engaging colleagues at all levels across our global divisions. These colleague-led organizations, which bring together diverse groups of people and their allies to share experiences and innovative Ideas, serve as catalysts for positive change within the communities where we live and work.

Throughout 2023, our global ERG chapters contributed to social responsibility efforts aimed at improving the quality of life for those around us. Signature activities included:

  • ITW Women’s Network’s Mid Chicago chapter partnered with the Daughters of the American Revolution to make blankets for U.S. children in need as part of Project Linus and wrote messages of gratitude to veterans participating in the Honor Flight at ITW Hi-Cone in Itasca, Illinois.
  • Young Professional Network’s Italy chapter hosted a community cleanup event in which 15 volunteers collected over 400 pounds of trash in the town of Piacenza.
  • Chicago-based colleagues representing seven ERGs packaged meals for Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit that provides meals to undernourished children around the world.

In 2023, ITW’s seven ERGs were comprised of more than 6,000 colleagues and 55 global chapters. For more information about the impact of our ERGs, see our Diversity & Inclusion page.
